Adding yet another musical genre to our unmatched diversity of styles, two Louisiana artists are currently charting with New Age music. In the current issue of New Age Voice, CDs by Richard Carr and Kenny Kleinpeter are listed on the December 2000 Airwaves Chart. Both artists are keyboardists, Richard on acoustic piano and Kenny on a variety of instruments, who compose tunes that are soothing excursions of ethereal music tailor-made for relaxation and introspection. Richard's music has been utilized by teachers to assist students in preparing for tests, as in the touted "Mozart Effect" that taps the transformational power of music to affect health and well being. The two artists produced Christmas CDs, Richard Carr's "Christmas Fireside" is at Number 4 and Kenny Kleinpeter's "Christmas!" is at Number 20. Carr also has another CD, "When Soul & Heart Collide" sitting at Number 90 and Kleinpeter's release, "Northshore" is holding down Number [95].
