Dimensional Interplay
While visiting St. Louis in September 2003, I went to the biannual Spirit Seeker Wholistic Expo.
It was here, I first met Bradford Smith. Upon hearing Brad's marvelous tone quality I approached
him with the project idea. Well, that meeting led to a couple of recording sessions in Brad's
basement studio a few months later (my next visit to the St. Louis area). The first session
yielded nothing worth releasing, but I believed it had shown that this project with Brad was feasible.
Because of the distance between us (Brad in the St. Louis area and I in New Orleans), and our
individual touring schedules, it took us quite some time to schedule four recording sessions.
We agreed to let Lenny Bertrand, my recording engineer in New Orleans, master Dimensional Interplay.
Lenny was almost finished with it when Hurricane Katrina visited New Orleans. Lost in the wake of the
storm, was all of Lenny's work. So, another delay came with Lenny having to redo the mastering work.
Although this project has taken over four years to complete, I certainly believe the unrushed approach
we took to it has yielded something that Brad and I are happy to give to our listeners.
Enjoy the journey!
