1. Sunrise at White House - Looking at the sunrise off the bluffs of the Mississippi River towards the Illinois farmland can be a silent, moving experience while attending a silent retreat at White House, a Jesuit retreat house in South St. Louis County, MO.
2. Lazy Summer Night - We have all experienced or imagined such an evening: relaxing on the front porch swing with nothing to do but enjoy the gentle breeze and watch the rest of the world pass quickly by.
3. Fogland - Shrouded in a veil of dense mist, Fogland lays waiting to be discovered by those willing to venture in.
4. Sonoma Coast Sunset - Jenner's Goat Rock Beach, where the Russian River empties into the Pacific Ocean is a favorite spot for sunsets along the rugged Northern California Coast.
5. Twilight Snowfall on the Prairie - Twilight on the prairie is a magical time. Add a quiet snowfall and you have a peaceful, almost mystical experience.
6. Canyon Memories - These are canyons all over the Southwestern United States. Listen to the secrets they hold and the stories they tell.
7. Climbing the Sierra Buttes - The Tahoe National Forest in Northern California has a multitude of beautiful scenic trails. The Sierra Buttes Trail rises 2000 feet over a two to three mile trail. Every turn has a breathtaking new vista.
8. Rocky Mountain Peace - Somewhere between Ft. Collins, CO and the Wyoming border on US 287 is a spot where absolute silence can be heard. Add a clear sky of stars, a meteor shower and a full moon….
9. Akers Ferry to Twin River - This popular canoe float on Missouri's Current River is lazy enough for even the most inexperienced novice, yet can challenge the experienced river adventurer.
10. I Was Lost, Until... Everyone has felt this way at one time or another.
11. Champagne Improv - This improvisation occurred at the end of the Chef's Table session after sharing a celebratory bottle of champagne in honor of the recording sessions with owner Mark Uddo and recording engineer Lenny Bertrand.
12. Fogland Revisited - Can you see what is Hidden in the Fog?

FOGLAND Reviews
"Richard Carr's Fogland is a fine recording in the impressionistic tone poem style of solo piano...It's a challenging statement from a musical individualist." - Bill Binkelman WIND AND WIRE
"A new kind of New Orleans piano.... he's developed "a unique blend of classical music, jazz and pop resulting in a romantic new age piano style." In this newest release from Carr, he explores new soundscapes for the acoustic piano in 12 selections he composed and performed. And left alone. Sessions were recorded in a restaurant and at Tulane, and engineers didn't edit or remix any cuts, to preserve the spontaneity of his improvisational approach.....a new age tapestry of solo piano. Peaceful, soothing." -Book Reader
"Richard Carr's tender and gentle spirit is clearly seen, felt and heard in the unveiling of FOGLAND." - Wayne Wong, Global Reflections, WZRU, Roanoke Springs, NC
"Richard Carr conveys heartfelt emotion and portrays a deep sense of love for his instrument, the piano, in an impressive second effort." - Helen Uphoff, Music for Groups of Two or Less, WFDD, Winston-Salem, NC
"Last year Richard Carr burst onto the music scene with a fabulous solo piano release, Through the Mind's Eye. Very quickly it became obvious a new and beautiful voice for the piano had arrived. This work opened many ears to the talent of Richard Carr. His new offering reveals additional layers of talent. Welcome to Fogland, a masterpiece with stunning beauty and grace. If you enjoy the sound of artists like George Winston, Raphael, Michael Jones and John Boswell, add Carr to the list.
"This is the kind of music that's equally at home in a recital, as the background to a pleasant meal, or as the soundtrack to a lazy morning spent lounging in bed or reading the paper. Fogland elasticizes such peaceful moments, creating an airtight buffer zone between that calm, contented, Sunday-morning feeling and the rest of the world." - Kevin F. Moreau, The Gambit Weekly, New Orleans
"Richard Carr made his presence known with his first release, Through the Mind's Eye. His second, Fogland, not only reinforces his first achievement, but also announces that Carr is at the forefront of piano music today!" - Erik de Jonge, Bep's, New Orleans, LA
